Breaking NewsDear Colleagues.
Unfortunately, due to the fact that in recent weeks the spread of COVID-19 is becoming more widespread in all European countries and its infection scope cannot be predicted, out of concern for the safety of the participants.
ELEKTRO 2020 conference should be performed completely online using remote conference tools (Webex) at the scheduled time without having to arrive to Taormina, Sicily.
If this change can cause any inconvenience for you, please accept our sincere apologies. Our only motivation is not to expose the authors to danger and the decision is due to this extraordinary situation. We count on your understanding and cooperation.
International travel restrictions have been introduced here.
Universities in Slovakia, including the University of Žilina (UNIZA), and many other universities in Europe, forbade all academics and students to travel to several countries in Europe and Asia.
The conference proceedings will be published on USB devices and will be send to you by post. All accepted papers need to be presented on-line according to the conference program. Conference programme will be defined after final submission of accepted papers. All papers presented at the online conference will be sent to IEE Xplore for publication. Selected papers with relevant scope will be proposed for publication in impacted international scientific journals.
In a short time we will send you the instruction how to prepare your presentation online. In fact, you can present your paper anywhere with access to Internet.
We thank to everyone who has already uploaded the IEEE Xplore compliant file (final paper). Those who hasn’t done so, we ask to follow the instructions available on the conference website and upload the required documents till 23rd March 2020.
We sincerely count on your understanding and cooperation with us. Organizing this conference mode is a huge challenge for us, but we will try to make the conference take place regardless of the situation.
